Admission Standards

Once received all applications will be reviewed based upon the following admission standards:

• GRE scores are a requirement of the program and will not be waived. Applicants must achieve a combined verbal and quantitative score on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) of at least 1100
• Graduate grade index of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for all graduate work
• Master's degree from an accredited university (or state equivalent for international universities)
• Goal statement
• Sample of writing
• Letters of recommendation
• Resume

Selection Process

Review for admission will be made within sixty days of the application deadline. The Ph.D. Admissions Committee will review application materials and make admissions recommendations to the Executive Committee of the Ph.D. program. Notification concerning the admission decision will be sent from the Admissions Committee to the applicant.
