Stephen Dedmon, J.D.
Professor Dedmon joined Embry-Riddle as an Assistant Professor in August 2005. Prior to teaching at the Daytona Beach residential campus he was an Adjunct Professor for Embry-Riddle from 2003-2005, in what was then the Embry-Riddle's Extended Campus He has over 2000 hours of flight time, a Commercial Pilot Certificate and a Flight Instructor Certificate. As part of his teaching interest, Mr. Dedmon developed an Aviation Law Minor for Embry-Riddle, the first of its kind on an undergraduate level in the country. He is licensed to practice law in the state of Florida, practices aviation law, and is a member in good standing of the Florida Bar. He is the editor-in-chief of the Florida Aviation Bar Committee's Vectors bar journal and writes an on-going column. He is also Chair of the FL Bar Aviation Law Bar Committee 2009- 2010 term.
