MaryJo Smith, Ph.D.

Dr. Smith joined Embry-Riddle as an adjunct Assistant Professor in 1999. She has taught the Research Methods course and the Master's Thesis course at the Worldwide Campus. Smith has served as Committee Chair on over 30 Master's Thesis committees; she has served as Committee Member on over 20 Master's Thesis committees. In addition, Smith co-founded Ypsilon Associates, a research and evaluation consulting firm. Smith has been qualified as an expert witness in the State of Alaska in statistics, evaluation, research methods, systems analysis, educational psychology, adequacy of education, and the relationship of school performance to finance variables. Smith's teaching and research interests include statistics, research design, evaluation as applied to aviation, education, technology, transition jobs programs, and nursing.
